TRAUMA AND CRIME SCENE CLEANING

With the increase in awareness to the potential health hazards resulting from being exposed to pathogens that may be contained in residual body fluids from whatever cause, there has been an upsurge in individuals and small companies setting up as trauma and crime scene cleaners. Often these “experts” have attended an appropriate training course but the reality is that despite their enthusiasm, they are woefully ill equipped to deal with this type of work.

Action Dry have been involved with decontaminating incident sites for over a decade and some of our staff, a great deal longer. We have dealt with suicide and attempted suicide scenes, long term decompositions, accidental incidents, squats and other unsanitary property and have worked for the police and coroners office.

We will decontaminate domestic incidents where relatives have been left to deal with the aftermath.

We will contract to commercial clients such as hotel groups and housing associations who are welcome to contact us to discuss the confidential services and response we offer.

Removal of dried blood and body fluids which may contain pathogens can be difficult and unsavoury but our tried and tested methods with dedicated equipment and engineering controls ensure that no visual or residual contamination remains. All decontamination procedures are documented and rapid hygiene testing is undertaken to validate that the clean up has been effective and that the property has been restored to a non hazardous state.

We will deal with grossly unsanitary incidents such as sewage backsurge which need specialist attention.

Action Dry are registered waste carriers and will remove contaminated waste for correct disposal.
